Frend

Terms of Service

Effective October 13, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Frend (“Frend”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of the Frend website and service at frend.one (the “Service”). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. What Frend does

Frend is an AI agent for frontend work. When you connect a GitHub repository, Frend clones it into an isolated sandbox, makes the changes you ask for, shows them in a live preview, and can push them to a new branch and open a pull request. Frend only works in repositories you install its GitHub App on, and only pushes to branches it creates.

The Service is under active development. Features may change, be limited, or be removed, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable.

2. Your account

You sign in with GitHub. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and able to enter into this agreement. If you use Frend on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your GitHub account secure.

3. Your code and content

You keep all rights to your repositories, the messages and files you send, and the code Frend produces for you (“Your Content”). You give us a limited permission to host, copy, process, and transmit Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, including sending it to the AI model provider you select. We don’t use Your Content to train AI models.

You confirm that you have the rights to the code and content you give Frend, including any environment variables or credentials you choose to store for a repository.

4. AI output

Frend’s output is generated by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete, insecure, or similar to code written by others. Review every change before you merge or deploy it. You are responsible for what you merge, ship, and run, and for checking that it meets your requirements and any licenses that apply.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

We may suspend or stop work that we reasonably believe breaks these rules.

6. Third-party services

Frend relies on GitHub and on AI model providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google. Your use of GitHub is governed by GitHub’s own terms. We aren’t responsible for third-party services, and their availability can affect Frend.

7. Plans and pricing

Frend is currently offered on a free plan, which may have usage limits. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll tell you about prices and terms before you’re charged anything.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Frend at any time and uninstall its GitHub App from your GitHub settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the Service. Where we reasonably can, we’ll give you notice and a chance to export your work. Sections 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11 continue to apply after your access ends.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service or its output will be accurate, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Frend will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Frend against claims arising from Your Content or from your breach of these terms, to the extent allowed by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we’ll let you know in the Service or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Frend after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
